Hans Becker was born in Berlin in 1930 in an artistic family. He moved to Holland in 1960, and he began to visit the Italian and French Mediterranean. Here he discovered the new colors of the sky and the atmosphere of the sea. It was there that he established his reputation as a top artist through very successful exhibitions in Naples, Milan, and Rome. Becher is well known for his romantic subjects, in landscapes and interiors. He is widely collected throughout Europe and the United States. He died in 2013.
