Luis Sinovas was born in Valbuena de Duero, Spain on April 22, 1956. At a very early age his artistic talents were revealed. However it was not until the age of 16, when he was accepted into the Escuela de Artes y Oficios (School of the Arts and Functions), that he took his talent seriously. For the next five years he experimented with drawing and painting techniques while gradually developing his personal, visual vocabulary. Ready for a change of scenery, in 1977 Sinovas moved to Barcelona. Seeking to continue his artistic development and to exchange ideas, he immediately made contact with several groups of painters in Barcelona. Through these exchanges Sinovas’ confidence grew. He started exhibiting his works in local art spaces and participating in juried competitions. Presently Sinovas lives in Llinars del Valles (Barcelona) where he continues his visual exploration of the world through paint. His paintings have been exhibited in Barcelona, Madrid and other Spanish cities, as well as in Austria and France. Prizes: ·1993 2nd place, Catalan Painting and Drawing Fair "Fedipica".
